International award

22 August 2019 Brian Mathew the President of the British Iris Society  congratulated Nina Alexeeva on the news that the Executive Committee of the British Iris Society awarded her the Michael Foster Memorial Plaque. This is a special award presented to those who have contributed to the study and advancement of knowledge of the genus Iris. The plaque was instituted in 1926 in recognition of Sir Michael Foster’s, own achievements in collecting, studying and hybridizing irises. In 1967, Georgy I. Rodionenko was awarded such a plaque.
